San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve

This little treasure is one of San Diego County’s largest coastal wetlands nestled between Encinitas and Solana Beach. It includes an educational center (live animals included), guided nature trails, restrooms, drinking fountains, a fun scavenger hunt for the kids, and a breathtaking view. Entrance is free, and there was plenty of parking (although it was a very hot day). My toddler greatly enjoyed doing their scavenger hunt, and holding the rosy boa at the educational center. I highly recommend this one! It was free and fun… two words this single mama loves! Yup! Sometimes, all I really have to worry about is gas and parking. I know of RV bloggers that are from Encinitas, so I’m sure I’ll get there someday. 😉
